incredible, I feel like I'm almost there with you right now. And I'm gonna share a little bit more about you before do you get started. So question one today is who are your ideal clients.

They are business owners who want to increase their bottom lines and those individuals that have businesses that have appreciation in it that they're looking to sell, or maybe they want to sell appreciated assets and real estate, I can show them how to do that and pay absolutely nothing in US income taxes.

Sounds good to me. And when you typically start working with your clients, what would you say is the number one biggest challenge that they face?

Amy Rose Herrick  02:05

They don't know who to ask outside of a CPA or a bookkeeper, what some of the financial strategies are that can build bottom lines can save them time and money. And that's where I come in.

Got it. And I guess when they go down those traditional route of speaking to bookkeepers, what what impact or what limitations does this give them? And why would they need to come to you instead?

Amy Rose Herrick  02:31

Well, a bookkeepers job is to record the numbers. And that's it's a very important position. But they cannot look outside of that. And when I'm looking at the business as a whole, I'm looking at every area within the business that we can reduce expenses, we can increase profitability. But I don't want to add more staff, I do not want to increase inventory. And I don't always want to move locations. So our functions are complementary, but we're very different.

Yeah. And a very strategic approach to looking at the numbers. I love it. So someone who's thinking about this or the next step for them in their business, what's that one piece of valuable advice that you might give them to really help them get started in solving this problem?

Amy Rose Herrick  03:14

Well, it's hard to deal with working, I tell people, you don't do your own dental surgery because you're not for it. Yeah, if you're someone who can look at your business with the idea that I'm here to build your business, I'm here to build your profitability, they can take off the blinders, and they can show you things that you can't see, because you're too busy working in the business to be able to work on the business.

That's a great point. And sometimes you get lost in the weeds. You know, like I said, you've got the blinkers on, you do need that outside perspective. And yeah, absolutely. So the next question from me then, and clearly you've worked with lots of different businesses, and you've had your own career, and as you talked about, so what would you say is one of your greatest mistakes, failures or learnings that you've made either in life or in business and what did you learn from it?

And there are I've thought about this, and they're really two that were intertwined. I stayed in a business relationship probably much longer than I should have, even though I saw some warning signs that this was really going to be limiting what my options were because of the restrictions that company had. As a result, I discovered when I launched another areas, how far behind I was on some of the technology opportunities. So don't let someone else's guidelines restrict your growth, because you're going to continue to build for years. And you may only be in that relationship for a short period of time.

That's a great example. And yes, sometimes you just got that feeling that it's time to move on. And, yes, sometimes you need to go with that feeling. Thank you so much for sharing that. If they were to go to my Facebook site, the secret profits and you go underneath more and events, I have an entire calendar in one area is dedicated towards individuals. And then another area is to empower business owners to build their bottom line. So take advantage of those free resources, their zoom classes really easy to attend. And that would be something that would be very helpful, no matter what level of business growth that you're at, or asset accumulation, so a lot of help there.
